Mark Townley – Space Weather

Mark Townley is a solar astronomer. With solar minimum fast approaching there is very little to observe on the face of our star. That does not mean the Sun has no influence on us. Marks talk focuses on space weather and the interaction of the Earth – Sun environment. Looking at how cycles on the sun impact on solar output and how this in turn influences our planet, from climate and radio blackouts to cosmic rays.
